Blank Foils for use with Embossers

Some slight color differences may occur between the actual stock
and the scanned image on your computer

If you have an embosser you may want some metalic foil seals to emboss. Paper has little elasticity and when embossed produces micro-fractures on the surface of the paper. Foil seals adds an accent to the document and are more elastic so they do not micro-fracture. The seal should be between1/4 and 3/8 inch wider (measured point tip to point tip) than the image area of the embosser die. Otherwise the image may extend out onto the point tips. Ink colors should be darker than paper to cover. White and Silver foil can be flood coated with an ink to change the color of the base material. Silver foil flood coated looks like a foil made in the ink color.
To flood coat and Print add the 50% and the tink charges to the right. Ink color should be darker than tink color to cover. White Gloss, white litho or Silver foil is recommend.

Red Foil Seals

Large red foil seals are used in Canada and in Europe. Matte foils are most popular. These seals are made up to order. Foil seals are flood coated with a Panatone 185 C or U ink.
